The annual collision repair industry awards have been presented and local we are proud to announce that Kilburn Crash Repairs has taken top honours in two prestigious categories.
The Suncorp / Australasian Paint & Panel Autobody repairer of the year awards are held annually with repairers nominated from around Australia for awards in a variety of categories. As the only awards of their kind in the industry, the competition for top honours it hotly contested. State finalists from across Australia included highly respected and multi-award winning businesses.
Kilburn Crash Repairs took out the Best Small Shop category for South Australia before going on to secure the national award in this category as well as the 2014 sustainability awards.

Managing Director Johnny Zollo is the proud second generation owner of Kilburn Crash Repairs and this year celebrated the businesses 50th anniversary. Johnny's commitment to develop a business for the future has seen him really build on his father's early efforts. In the past 2 years the business's Churchill Road site has undergone major refurbishment and the team has committed to investing in new equipment and training to repair the new breed of vehicles on South Australian roads.
"We know that the vehicles on the road today are more advanced and more sophisticated than ever before. We made a decision to embrace technology and training so we could offer our customers excellence in collision repairs as well as our great customer service" said Johnny. "We need to make sure that we can safely repair any vehicle our customers choose to drive and to do that, we had to make some big decisions."
These decisions certainly paid off for Johnny and the team at Kilburn Crash as their hard work and commitment to their loyal customers was acknowledged at the prestigious awards ceremony held in Sydney last month.
The national award for best small shop is awarded to a business with fewer than 15 employees that demonstrates commitment to achieving customer service and vehicle repair excellence. The 2014 Sustainability award was also awarded to Kilburn Crash to acknowledge their outstanding achievements and ongoing commitment to protecting the environment while operating an economically and environmentally sustainable enterprise.
As a family owned and operated business, becoming an industry leader is challenging , especially in a difficult market place. In spite of the numerous pressures on the industry and on the local economy, Johnny and the team rose to the challenge giving their family business a makeover from the ground up. After a solid 50 years in business, we are ready to face the next 50 years head on.
